I run The Handkerchief Tree from my home studio on the moors above Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. After three years studying at St. Martin's College, in the beautiful Lake District, I qualified as a Primary School Teacher who specialised in teaching art. After four years as a classroom teacher, family commitments drew me away from the classroom and I decided to set up my own business making and selling a selection of my wares online, as well as teaching others the skills I feel so passionate about.
I now love to teach adults and children alike, sharing my time between teaching and creating. I can be seen out and about all over Yorkshire at different craft fairs and events as well as at a handful of carefully selected shops.
If you would like to hire 'The Handkerchief Tree' to come to you to run a workshop I'd love to hear from you. All ages are catered for: schools, colleges, private parties, adult education establishments. I am also available to give talks and demonstrations!
